Auxiliary Trainer Status
Once accepted onto the MDDA Training of Trainers programme, the applicant works towards Auxiliary Trainer status.
Requirements
- Read recommended texts
- Attend a minimum of one full AMI MDDA workshop as an observer
- Submission of 4 marked case studies (case studies provided)
- Successfully deliver a minimum of two AMI MDDA Workshops under the supervision and mentoring of an AMI MDDA Trainer
- Prior to the workshops, the candidate must submit the activities that will be used in their workshop
- Submit for review 5 completed workshop participant evaluations from a minimum of two supervised AMI MDDA workshops
- AMI MDDA training resources to be culturally and linguistically adapted (See below)
- Complete the AMI MDDA (Online) Fundamentals Course
Auxiliary Trainer Status
- Upon completion of the above steps the candidate will be awarded Auxiliary Trainer status and will be authorised to deliver the AMI MDDA workshop
- Candidates must submit to their Mentor Trainer the marked work of 5 students submitting for certification
- All requirements for the Auxiliary Trainer status must be met within 2 years after acceptance into the program
- Auxiliary Trainers will be issued a numbered Certificate indicating their status as an AMI MDDA Auxiliary Trainer
- Where possible Auxiliary Trainers will take opportunities to co-present for the first year or so to further develop their depth of knowledge
